The Art Center’s unique model creates a pathway for artists to progress in their artistic practices and careers. By developing programming that fills critical gaps in traditional models for artist growth and development, the Art Center provides a variety of access points and means of support for artists working at all levels.
The Art Center offers unique and innovative programming to support Chicago artists, including:
Ground Floor: A biennial exhibition of work by some of the most promising graduates coming out of Chicago's MFA programs.
The Center Program: A capstone program for artists who have grown beyond the Art Center’s other offerings and are ready to push their practice to the next level, The Center Program is the Art Center’s answer to traditional professional development offerings for artists.
The Bridge Program: A seminar-style intensive program designed to generate new projects while learning to better articulate the central goals of your practice within a small-group setting.
