It's now more important than ever to ensure diversity in and access to the visual arts.
- access to arts education
- professional development for artists
- bringing national attention to Chicago's artists
Patriotism manifests itself in the American landscape and culture in obvious and covert ways. Artists participating in the exhibition examine the pride, loyalty, ownership, discrimination, and fierceness that simultaneously characterize this conflicted allegiance in the current political climate through their artwork. The exhibition presents photography, sculpture, painting and video by Paul Stephen Benjamin, Kevin Blake, Jasmine Clark, Eric J. Garcia, Jay Turner Frey Seawell, and collaborative work by Emilio Rojas and Adela Goldbard.
