Justine Pluvinage is a video and film artist whose work often adopts the documentary format, portraying intimate relationships among people, oscillating between realistic and dreamlike states, observed time and narration. Pluvinage completed her education at L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France, and she has participated in exhibitions at Rencontres d'Arles, FOAM in Amsterdam, the Ball in Paris, and Palais de Tokyo. She is the 2013 recipient of the Grand Prix at the 58th Salon de Montrouge. This residency is part of collaborative project “Resilient Images,” a residency and exhibition exchange between Hyde Park Art Center and the Centre régional de la photographie Nord—Pas-de-Calais (CRP) located in the North of France. New work from Justine’s residency will be featured in an exhibition at the CRP (September 2017) and at the Art Center (April 2018).
